Novae and Supernovae Modeling
Prof. E. Livne, Prof. A. Glasner, Dr. R. Waldman
We study novae and supernovae eruptions in various scenarios. Using 1D evolution codes we follow the evolution of massive stars and/or binary systems until they reach thermonuclear runaway or iron-core collapse. Our multi-dimensional codes are implemented to investigate the subsequent unsteady reactive flow and its outcome concerning observations of element abundances. We employ radiation transfer codes to study the observable signatures of these models, through their light curves and spectra. Novae and Supernovae Modeling Simulation Image
